بحث وزير الدفاع السعودي، الأمير خالد بن سلمان، مع نظيره الأميركي، لويد أوستن، العلاقات الاستراتيجية السعودية الأميركية وسبل تعزيزها في إطار الشراكة الدفاعية بين البلدين الصديقين، حسب ما ورد في تغريدته عبر منصة “إكس”، مشيراً في الوقت ذاته إلى أنهما بحثا آخر التطورات الإقليمية والدولية، والجهود المبذولة لخفض التصعيد بالمنطقة وتداعياته بما يضمن أمنها واستقرارها.
وأعلن البنتاغون أن وزير الدفاع الأميركي أكد التزام بلاده الطويل بدعم الدفاعات السعودية.
وطبقاً للبنتاغون، أكد وزير الدفاع الأميركي لنظيره السعودي، الأمير خالد بن سلمان، أهمية الشراكة الدفاعية مع السعودية بالنسبة للأمن الإقليمي.
وذكر البنتاغون أن الوزيرين تعهدا بالتعاون في تعزيز الردع ضد التهديدات المشتركة.
وتشير المعلومات إلى أن الوزيرين ناقشا جهود التهدئة والتوصل لحكم مسؤول في لبنان.
